“…Don’t let an excuse stand in your way. Dream big and never give up on your dreams.”
TIPS FOR INVENTORS
BHC: We love your invention and wish you the very best with it. Do you have any tips or suggestions for other aspiring inventors?
JF: Yes, three things:
Dream big and never give up on your dreams.
Don’t let an excuse stand in your way.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
BHC: Those are great tips. And if an inventor wants to know how much money they may need to develop a product, what would you tell them?
JF: I would tell them that it really depends on the person and the invention. Raymond and I were able to go from drawing to prototype with only $5,000.
BHC: Thanks for that tip. Is there anything else you want to add?
JF: As a matter of fact, there is: As an inventor, you can find one hundred reasons to say, “No, I can’t do it.” But all it takes is one YES.
The Black History Channel would like to thank Jacqueline Fountain once more for taking the time to sit down and chat with us. If you would like to contact Jacqueline or learn more about her invention, follow these links:
