So…you are probably wondering why The Black History Channel took so long to post about the new Black Panther movie. It’s simple: this editor did not want to blindly follow the mob mentality and post about how fantastic the new Black Panther movie was going to be when it finally hit the big screen, or how great it was predicted to be. I wanted to know what I was talking about before I made a post. I wanted to SEE the movie with my own eyes and make my determination from there.

Well, I have seen it, and…WOW. Now I can say without hesitation that the Black Panther is not just a fantastic movie, it’s a phenomenon! I loved it so much that I have included the LONGEST TRAILER I could find for your viewing enjoyment!

Here are a few stats:

**Black Panther drew in $202m on its opening Friday through Sunday weekend, and $108 million on its second Friday through Sunday weekend.

**Black Panther has currently earned nearly a billion dollars at the global box office as of March 2, 2018. (Source:

**Black Panther has currently earned $435.4m in North American theaters (Source:, which surpasses both Shrek and E.T.

Those numbers say it all. I could try to explain to you the effect that the costumes, the graphics, the sizzling chemistry between the characters, the breathtaking beauty of Lupita Nyong’o and the breakout performance of Danai Gurira, who OWNED the character of General Okoye, had on me…but I won’t. I’ll just say this: You HAVE to see this movie!
