Grants really are all around us. The problem is, most people have no clue how to find them.
If you begin by typing the word "grant" into your favorite search engine, you'll promptly pull up over 159 million urls. Good luck with that!
If you try to be clever and type something specific like "writing grants", this would narrow your search but this particular phrase conjures up over 188 million urls. I hope your reading glasses are handy because you're going to need them.
So what do you do? Well, you join a few grant lists. There are plenty out there--some paid and some free. You should also join a professional organization in your field and ask them about available grants. Just remember that everyone--and I do mean everyone--is looking for a grant, so the competition will be fierce.
By the way, you can also check in with The Black History Channel on a daily or weekly basis to see if we've found anything new. We aim to share all relevant grants we find so that we can help you search to be as painless as possible.
In the meantime, be sure to take a look around our site. You never know what you'll find at The Black History Channel.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day.
