It's not always easy to find books for our children...or even for ourselves. They're out there but they're scattered, which means we may not be able to find them so easily unless we receive an alert or hear about them through the grapevine.
The Black History Channel aims to change all that. We want to create a database of African American titles, including picture books, middle grade books, YA's, and adult books featuring African American characters.
ARE YOU A WRITER? Come help us become THE one-stop destination for the latest well-written, beautifully illustrated books by, for and about African Americans.
IF YOU HAVE WRITTEN A BOOK OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS, TELL US ALL ABOUT IT!
Books We Accept:
- Board books, picture books and lap books.
- Middle grade books
- YA's
- Adult books, including romance, thriller, etc.
- Fiction
- Nonfiction
- Science
- Love stories. Love is a beautiful thing, and so is the intimacy that goes along with it, but...this is a family-friendly site. Please don't forget that!
Books We DON'T Accept:
- Satanism or demonology. This is a family-friendly site.
- Child abuse, rape, pornography. This is a family-friendly site.
- Any book with profanity, extreme or gratuitous sex, racism, hatred or violence. The Founder/Editor reserves the right to refuse any book she deems unfit for this site.
